So this afternoon I had an unannounced meeting with a local Pastor in Bowling Green, KY. Meeting with local Pastors isn't a different or strange thing with me as I've met many on a random occasion to get an idea of what's going on spiritually in whatever local area that I may be. Unfortunately many of who I've met with, in my opinion, are just comfortable where they are and what they will be and will never do more than they already are.
But this meeting seemed different...
This pastor was more than authentic - sharing his past sins and whole life story. I was really impressed! He's only started with his new church plant and has already reached the 100 mark and will more than likely continue to grow. I have to say that this was a breath of fresh air to hear of someone who is leading a church to do more than just give financially, but to give as Christ has given - their daily lives. It is my hope that this will be a big blessing for the community that he is wanting to reach.
I hope and pray he'll do well with his ministry!
